Samsung Electronics Co. is developing a new magnetic wireless charging dock compatible with its Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, and Galaxy Buds devices. The device, identified by the model number EP-P2900, provides 25W wireless charging speeds.

The development follows persistent rumors that the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, expected to launch in early 2025, will feature integrated magnets for wireless charging and accessories. Samsung had previously launched two Qi2 chargers in October, which required phone cases with magnets for full functionality.

WinFuture, a German technology publication, discovered the new accessory in retailer data. The charging dock will come in dark gray.

The new charging dock aligns with Samsung’s increasing focus on Qi2 MPP chargers. The news also comes after Google announced its PixelSnap charger for the Pixel 10 phones, which have integrated Qi2 magnets.

Reports also suggest enhanced wireless charging capabilities for the new Samsung phones. The Galaxy S26 Ultra may receive 25W wireless charging, while the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus models could reach 20W.
