This 3-in-1 multi-charger erases desktop cord clutter – and looks great while doing it

This 3-in-1 multi-charger erases desktop cord clutter – and looks great while doing it

Wireless charging has come a long way, but cord clutter is still an inevitability, especially in high-traffic charging areas like a bedside table or a work-from-home setup.

Thankfully, there are tons of options on the market to cut cords and let you truly maximize the wireless capabilities of gear like smartphones, smartwatches, and earbuds. And if you’re an Apple user like me, you may be in need of a multi-charger that perfectly powers Apple’s mobile trifecta: your iPhone, your Apple Watch, and your AirPods.

Also: The three cheap gadgets ZDNET readers are buying nonstop (No. 1 is weird)

That’s where Lululook’s Ultra-Rise Qi2 charger comes in. Like many stand chargers on the market, it has a raised, mobile MagSafe charger for an iPhone, an Apple Watch charger built in behind where a phone would rest, and, at the base, a wireless charger for AirPods. It’s a fairly common setup, and it’s certainly not innovative in terms of function.

But it is one of the nicest multichargers I’ve laid eyes on (and trust me, I’ve seen plenty). It’s not stark white or black that stands out in home decor, and it’s just tall enough to rest perfectly on a side table without being too obtrusive.

Lululook’s Ultra-Rise charger has a sleek, metallic finish that’s smooth and crisp to the touch. It’s refined and polished, and looks like a genuine piece of hardware. Intentionally designed tech like such is appealing to me, and this charger blends in nicely.

Lululook’s multi-charger offers 15W Qi 2.0 fast charging, making it perfect for quickly topping off my iPhone and Apple Watch. The wireless charging station for my AirPods gets plenty of use, too. I haven’t noticed much difference in charging rate or speed between this setup and other Qi2 wireless chargers I’ve tried, and any heat generated from charging has appeared typical, too.

I like that since this is a stand charger, there’s a bit more space to work around while placing or grabbing my AirPods and Apple Watch. My foldable wireless charger from Anker gets knocked around easily because you have to place any wireless earbuds behind your iPhone at an angle.

Also: Finally, I found a MagSafe power bank that’s fit for traveling (and fancy dinners)

One of the best benefits of using a standing wireless charger setup is that most enable Standby Mode for iPhone users, which is perfect for office or desk work (and also for viewing).

Lululook’s Ultra-Rise charger isn’t compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Watch, but there is 15W fast charging for the iPhone series, 5W charging for most AirPods, and 5W fast charging for a majority of Apple Watches (except the SE). It comes in four different colors to match your look.

Price-wise, this isn’t abnormally priced. Right now, it’s on sale for $70 at Lululook and Amazon, which is decent when you consider competitor products from brands like Belkin, Nomad, and Anker often sell for over $100.

Why I recommend this product

I typically recommend that if you’re going to spend money on a multi-charger, especially over $60, it makes sense to look for one that can be used at home and while traveling, so you don’t have to spend extra money.

In this case, the Lululook charger is not made for travel. It’s a stand setup designed to maintain a fixed position on a tabletop, desk, counter, etc. What that means is that if you need an additional travel multi-charger, consider options like Anker’s MagGo UFO charger or the 3-in-1 MagGo charger. Lululook also offers several of its own travel chargers, such as the Ultra-Nano Qi2 wireless charger.

This charger may not be equipped to come on the go, but it’s certainly got a home in my house. I like to keep multi-chargers in the busiest rooms (kitchen and living areas) and in guest spaces. I think it’s a nice touch to provide chargers and make sure no one is without one (though that’s unlikely in a tech journalist’s home). Now that I’ve had time to work with this charger, I’ll likely swap it into my kitchen for the perfect elevated charger and stand while I’m following recipes or cooking videos.
