Spotify has launched an update to its Prompted Playlists feature, enabling Premium subscribers to find new podcasts through AI-driven recommendations based on user prompts.
This development allows users to create tailored playlists by entering specific requests, such as “build me a playlist with more shows like Maintenance Phase.” The feature aims to enhance user experience by curating content that aligns with individual listening preferences.
Available today for Spotify Premium subscribers in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden, users can access this feature by opening the Spotify app, tapping “Create,” and selecting “Prompted Playlists.” From there, they can describe their desired playlist content.

This update expands on the existing Prompted Playlists feature for music, which began a beta rollout earlier this year. It is part of Spotify’s ongoing efforts to integrate AI into its platform.
In mid-March, Spotify Co-CEO Gustav Söderström announced a feature allowing users to create their own Taste Profile with AI assistance. This capability is intended to further refine personalized recommendations on the platform.
Additionally, in late March, Spotify introduced the SongDNA feature, which provides users with detailed information about all contributors involved in song production.
