If you’re a fan of fitness trackers but don’t like the chunky look or the watch-style screen, you might like the new Fitbit Air. Google just debuted it last week, and it looks strikingly similar to the Whoop band, though it costs $100 less.

And, right now, you can save more on the Fitbit Air when you preorder it on Amazon for $99 instead of $135. The Fitbit Air will officially be released on May 26, so Amazon is offering a decent deal before the product has even dropped.

This preorder deal gets you the Fitbit Air color of your choice (Berry, Lavender, or Obsidian) along with an Obsidian or Fog silicone active band to go with it. Each band retails for $35, so you’re essentially getting one free.

The Fitbit Air is geared towards a more general fitness crowd looking for basic metrics like steps, sleep, recovery, and stress. However, if you choose to upgrade to the Google Health Premium membership for $100 annually, you’ll get more in-depth insights, including extensive data to visualize your recovery and strain, or your sleep needs, compared to logged time asleep.

This new fitness tracker is also super lightweight at 12 grams, compared to Whoop’s 26 grams. It’s the first Fitbit without a screen — perfect if you’re looking for a fitness tracker that’s simpler and more discreet. The battery lasts one week, and just 1 hour of charging gives you a full day’s battery if you’re in a rush to get to a workout.

The Fitbit Air will cost $136 when it releases at the end of the month, but for now, you can pay the same price and get an extra band for your new fitness tracker with this $99 Amazon deal.

How I rated this deal

Based on ZDNET’s deal-rating system, this 26% off deal should be a 3/5 deal, but since the product hasn’t even been officially released yet and you’re already snagging a discount, I rated it a 4/5.

This preorder deal lasts during the preorder period for the Fitbit Air — so up until May 26. After that, the deal will expire.
