An iPad model featuring an A18 chip and Apple Intelligence support is “still coming this year,” according to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
This development indicates Apple plans to expand its artificial intelligence capabilities to additional iPad devices, impacting product availability for consumers and market positioning.
Gurman stated the iPad with the A18 chip is “ready to go.” Previous speculation from Macworld suggested the iPad 12 would incorporate an A19 chip.
No other significant design alterations have been indicated for the device, suggesting it will retain the current model’s aesthetic.
Apple Intelligence is currently available across other contemporary iPad models, including the iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro. The iPad 11, equipped with an A16 chip, was released in March 2025 with a starting price of $349 in the U.S.
