SeatGeek announced a partnership with Spotify to direct fans to its ticketing platform from within the Spotify app. The integration is currently limited to 15 US partner venues where SeatGeek serves as the primary ticket seller, mainly professional sports arenas like AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This move connects the streaming service’s large user base directly to ticket purchasing for specific events at these locations.

While SeatGeek operates as one of the largest online marketplaces for the secondary ticketing market, this Spotify integration strictly applies to primary ticketing arrangements. The selection of 15 venues represents a controlled initial rollout focused on major professional sports arenas. Spotify has previously experimented with direct ticket sales but now focuses on integrating third-party ticketing partners. The company currently lists 46 ticketing partners on its platform, including major competitors like Ticketmaster and AXS. The application also permits users to follow specific venues to receive notifications regarding upcoming concerts and events.

The world’s largest music streaming service has introduced several new features recently. One feature assists listeners in learning more about a specific song, while another update added group messaging capabilities. The platform currently boasts approximately 750 million monthly active users. Spotify has also been attempting to address AI-generated content within its library. The service’s recent updates reflect a broader strategy to expand functionality beyond audio streaming.
